NICHED IN A BLUE TURQUOISE OCEAN, MAURITIUS IS A REAL PARADISE FOR PROS AND BEGINNERS

Mauritius is renowned for the beauty of its beaches, the kindness and hospitality of its multicultural population. However, she is also known for having beautiful diving sites. A very good visibility, varied depths, wreck sites, night dives or sharks, everyone finds their pleasure. A dive with turtles, Stingrays or dolphins is definitely worth the visit.

In Mauritius, there is not really a season for diving. Whether in winter or summer, diving in the depths remains a unique experience.

BE CAREFUL

Diving is a very fun activity. However, there are some parameters to consider very seriously. It is not recommended for cardiac and asthmatic people. The claustrophobic will really have to think twice about it before starting because even if there is space, breathing with a regulator, having a mask on the nose and a huge bottle on the back, can be confusing and disturbing.

Also, never dive before taking a flight. A decompression accident can happen very quickly. Wait at least 12 hours for a shallow dive and 24 hours for a deep dive.

You can pass your PADI open water certificate in all diving centers on the island. It lasts a short week with an initiation, exercises to do under water.

The most daring will try even the advance open water PADI, which is done in 5 dives. This will allow the diver to go a little deeper and visit some beautiful wrecks.
